About the Museum
Bengal Revolution for India's Liberation Virtual Museum
The Bengal Revolution for India’s Liberation Virtual Museum or simply BRIL Museum is a dedicated initiative to showcase and honor the contributions and sacrifices of revolutionary freedom fighters from the Bengal region in the struggle for India’s independence from British colonial rule, in a digital platform. The concept of creating a virtual museum on this subject was envisioned by Boddhisatya Tarafdar, a passionate history enthusiast from Kolkata. With a sustained interest in the Indian freedom movement and academic training in Museology (Museum Studies), Tarafdar has combined his research expertise and museology ideas to design and present this museum in a digital or virtual format—making it accessible to a global audience from any location.
