The Madhyamgram Historical Society, located at Madhyamgram, Kolkata-700129, is an academic platform of discussion and research on history, with focus on Indian History.It is mainly formed by three history lovers Boddhisatya Tarafdar, Mrinmoy Banerjee and Supriyo Mukherjee to make facts of history available to many by organizing seminars, exhibitions, creating short films, etc.
Major Works
The Society organized its first major event, which was an exhibition on Great Revolutionary Rashbehari Bose & Japan’s Role in India’s Freedom Struggle on 14-15 June 2025. It was organized at Madhyamgram High School, Madhyamgram, Kolkata.The program was attended by many enthusiastic young students, family members from the families of freedom fighters, the Chairman of the Madhyamgram Municipality and importantly the Deputy Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata as the Chief Guest.
